If you are looking into ways of rejuvenating your
skin you must first of all ensure you have a cosmetic
grade skin care. Cosmetic treatments will give you an
instant improvement but the effects will be far longer lasting
if the treatment is complimented by good skin care and tailored
topical skin treatments.

The problem is – where do you start?

Well, my advice is to firstly appreciate the fact that your usual skin care may be expensive and even popular but if you buy it from a department store it is not going to contain any of the 'active' ingredients needed to rejuvenate the skin and prevent the signs of aging. It is important to get advice from a cosmetic practitioner and invest in a cosmetic grade skin care range or 'Cosmeceutical'.

Secondly, take your time changing over to this type of skin care. There is no need to rush or over spend (although in general, Cosmeceuticals cost about the same as your over-the-counter preparations because there is no added expense on packaging and marketing!). Start with a cleanser, exfoliant and moisturiser and gradually add to that your recommended skin treatments. Eventually, you will have a specialised skin program that will be tailor-made to address not only your skin type but also your skin concerns. From experience, I know that even the worst of skins can appear totally different after 3 months of consistent cosmetic skin care and skin treatments.
