It is unique in that it combines three separate effective methods of skin rejuvenation. It combines the refining, resurfacing effects of Microdermabrasion with the restorative, collagen stimulating effects of Laser Genesis and the colour corrective effects of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL).

What is Microdermabrasion?

Sometimes called the 'lunchtime peel', this is a non-invasive, gentle process of using crystals accelerated onto the skin's surface to abrade layers of dead and damaged skin cells. On completion of the abrasive process, a vacuum suction whisks away the fired crystals and the unwanted abraded skin particles leaving your skin smoother, brighter, firmer and with a course of procedures blemish free.

What is Laser Genesis?

Laser Genesis utilizes non-invasive laser technology to safely, discretely and effectively treat, fine-line wrinkles, diffuse and excessive redness and helps manage large pores, uneven skin texture, and scars. You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects such as bruising or excessive skin irritation. Treatments can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of topical anaesthetics or gels. By gently heating the dermis well below your skin's surface, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth and the additional heat generated in dilated capillaries helps to reduce redness.

What is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)?

IPL is a light based treatment to rejuvenate the skin and even out colours such as brown and red. An IPL treatment improves the appearance of Rosacea, sun damaged and aged skin, brown age spots & freckling, as well as reducing redness and flushing. The IPL treatment uses specific light parameters to improve the texture, and colour of the skin with very little downtime. IPL utilizes light in a way to restore your whole face gradually and naturally.

The only precautions to take prior to your treatment is to avoid the use of Vitamin A derivatives (eg Retinol, Tretinoin) or AHA/BHA (eg Glycolic Acid) in any skin care for 1-2 weeks prior to the treatment. Do not have this treatment if you are or have taken Roaccutane. Do not have this treatment if you have been using a fake tanning cream or have had a spray tan in the last 2-3 weeks. Certain skin types cannot have this treatment performed so it is essential to have a consultation prior to arranging your treatment.

To ensure the best results and reduce any possible complications from this treatment it is important that you follow the aftercare instructions given to you by your cosmetic practitioner.
