Dr Douglas Grose is probably one of the most experienced cosmetic physicians in Australia. During 21 years of provincial city general practice, where he delivered babies and performed general surgery, he developed a deep interest in dermatology under the guidance for Dr Mervyn Gold, a brilliant dermatologist, developing a particular focus on diffuse sun damage and acne. In 1996 he moved to the Gold Coast and established Australian Skin Clinics which he developed into one of Australia’s first medical day spas. In 1997 he helped establish the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia which recently became the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australia. Dr Grose is the current President of the College.
In 2000 he was the co-owner and developer of ASAP skin care products which produced a range of cosmeceutical skin care products based on his research into acne and sun damaged skin. These products are available at Rejuven8 Cosmetix.
Dr Grose is a contracted trainer for several companies supplying injectable products used in cosmetic medicine including Mondeal, Galderma, Ipsen and MERZ Aesthetics.
Dr Grose still has a keen interest in cosmetic medicine generally and is still passionate about helping people with acne. He has been a presenter at cosmetic medical conferences every year since 1999. He has published four papers during his career, three related to cosmetic medicine.
